LGPSTime va seta automat ceasul PC-ului la ora de la receptorul GPS conectat la computer. GPS-ul își primește timpul de la sateliții GPS, care sunt controlați și întreținuți de Observatorul Naval al SUA.
Utilizând timpul de la un GPS, LGPSTime va menține computerul referit la un standard de timp atomic.
LGPSTime poate fi lansat ca o aplicație obișnuită sau în liniște în fundal. O pictogramă mică este plasată în bara tăvii care indică faptul că LGPSTime rulează.
