ZylTimer este o înaltă rezoluție, pe termen lung component timer Delphi / C ++ Builder, care oferă o precizie mai mare decât componenta standard de Delphi / C ++ Builder TTimer.
TTimer component care navele cu Delphi / C ++ Builder utilizează Windows mesajul referitor la coada pentru a genera eveniment OnTimer. Datorită acestei abordări este imposibil pentru a obține intervale de timer exacte mai mici decât 50 de milisecunde.
ZylTimer este un cronometru pe bază de fir și în această arhitectură oferă o precizie reală a 1-2 milisecunde, care este inevitabilă în aplicații critice de timp. Evenimentul OnTimer este întotdeauna concediat în timp, care nu este disponibil pentru TTimer standard atunci când există prea multe mesaje procesate.
Componenta standard de TTimer utilizează funcția SetTimer API, deci intervalul este limitată la 2147483647 milisecunde (aproximativ 25 zile). ZylTimer este un cronometru pe bază de fir și intervalul poate fi setat chiar la sute ani, dacă este necesar.
