Preprocessor SMTP este un instrument avansat pentru administratorii de e-mail. Ea îmbunătăţeşte funcţionalitatea serverului de mail corporative. Programul primeşte mesaje SMTP server de firmă înainte de SMTP, pe-the-fly modificări sau le respinge, şi retransmite rezultatul la server. O gamă largă de setări permite îmbunătăţirea securităţii şi a adăuga noi caracteristici pentru serverul SMTP corporative. Preprocessor SMTP poate respinge conexiunea de la distanţă bazat pe gazdă adresa IP sau numele DNS (lista neagră), prezenţa de revers DNS înregistrări PTR, de valabilitate a HELO sau comandă EHLO şi limita de conexiuni; respinge comanda MAIL bazat pe adresa expeditorului (lista neagră), tranzacţii limita şi dimensiunea mesajului; respinge comanda RCPT bazat pe adresa destinatarului (private Lista de destinatari), numele de domeniu destinatar (Anti-relocare), adresa expeditorului (restrictionata Lista de expeditori), limita de destinatari sau bazat pe tehnologia Greylisting; respinge out-of-SMTP pentru a comanda ; întârzie răspunsul său (Tarpitting de tehnologie); înlocui flexibil corporative de răspuns server SMTP sau orice Preprocessor SMTP răspuns generate; înlocui expeditor în plic SMTP (comanda mail); înlocui beneficiar în plic SMTP (comanda RCPT). Programul ţine jurnal reglabil detaliate ale tuturor evenimentelor SMTP.
