Mini vMac emulează un Macintosh Plus, unul dintre cele mai vechi de computere Macintosh. Se poate rula software-ul vechi Macintosh care altfel nu ar putea fi utilizate pe mașini recente. Mini vMac necesită un fișier imagine ROM-ul pentru a rula, și astfel pot fi utilizate în mod legal numai de către cei care dețin un Macintosh Plus.
