New Nvidia GTX1080 Revealed, Faster Than GTX980Ti

H Nvidia revealed less than a couple of days ago the first graphics cards from its new series, the powerful GTX 1080 and the medium-scale GTX1070.

The GTX 1080 is based on Pascal architecture, manufactured in 16nm, have a GDDR5X type of memory, and according to Nvidia, it will be faster than the Titan X and two GTX980 in SLI.

According to the diagram presented by the company, the new graphics card will be about 30% -40% faster than GTX980Ti, which, if confirmed, would indeed be a much greater performance leap than what we expected.

Nvidia GTX1080 will have its core running at 2114MHz and its memory at 5508MHz.

Finally, the GPU will hit the market on May 27, with the official retail price of $599 for the standard version and $699 for the Founders Edition.

However, the green company did not stop there, since the GTX1070 was revealed as well- although not many details were shared with us. What we learned though is that it will become available on June 10, will be accompanied by an 8GB RAM GDDR5 memory and its price will start from $379. A GTX1070 Founders Edition will be available too, which you will be able to buy for $449.
